To be Native or Not

By Website Introductions at 02/28/08 14:01
IN the age of globalization, everybody has to adapt some single language if they still want to be competitive. IN most parts of the world, that language would be English. IN Latin America, however, it's more Spanish.

Unfortunately, this has also resulted to the speedy extinction of our native languages, which is inherently part of our culture. SO what is Bolivia doing to promote its native languages?

The Highest Synagogue

By Website Introductions at 02/20/08 20:26
jewish The Highest Synagogue
When I say highest, I do not mean the highest ranking, highest in power, highest monetary value, no I mean literally the HIGHEST.

The Circulo Israelita de Bolivia is located at an altitude of over 12,000 feet in Bolivia. It is a functioning synagogue where Shabbo classes are routinely held.

This is an interesting fact but the community that the synagogue serves is predominately catholic.
