Many people ask about Bolivian Food. I found this blog Notes on Living (Bolivia Edition) which has a nice blurb:

Food: Saltenas are big in the morning, empanadas in the afternoon (after 3 p.m.). People here like to eat! Lots of food, all the time, 5 meals a day. Coffee is instant and horrendous, but fresh fruit juice (blackberry, peach, lemonade) is abundant and must be consumed. Lots of meat and more meat, very little seafood (due to no coast). Lots of crusty bread and pastries.
